Characteristics of Hastelloy Plates
Excellent Corrosion Resistance
Hastelloy plates demonstrate outstanding corrosion resistance in various acidic, alkaline, and saline environments, effectively resisting oxidation, sulfidation, chlorination, and fluoridation. With high molybdenum and chromium content, they exhibit strong resistance to chloride ion corrosion, while tungsten further enhances their corrosion resistance. As a result, Hastelloy plates perform exceptionally well in highly corrosive media, including wet chlorine gas, hypochlorite solutions, and chlorine dioxide.
Stable High-Temperature Performance
Hastelloy plates possess excellent high-temperature strength and creep resistance, enabling long-term stable operation in elevated-temperature environments. Their stability under thermal stress allows them to withstand both oxidizing and reducing atmospheres at high temperatures, making them widely used in boilers, heat exchangers, flue gas desulfurization (FGD), and denitrification systems under high-temperature and high-pressure conditions.
Good Mechanical Properties
Hastelloy plates feature high hardness, strength, and wear resistance, allowing them to endure significant pressure and friction. Additionally, they exhibit excellent workability, supporting various machining processes such as shearing, bending, and drilling while maintaining a smooth surface finish.
Superior Weldability
Hastelloy plates are compatible with multiple welding techniques, including TIG (tungsten inert gas) and plasma arc welding. The welded joints retain strength and corrosion resistance comparable to the base material. This makes Hastelloy plates an ideal choice for constructing welded structures subjected to high loads, medium speeds, impact, or alternating stresses.
Our Hastelloy alloy plates, as ultra-low carbon nickel-based alloy materials, achieve excellent corrosion resistance in both oxidizing and reducing medium environments by virtue of the precisely proportioned core elements such as nickel, chromium, molybdenum, and tungsten. Whether in strong acid solutions in the chemical industry, corrosive media in flue gas desulfurization systems, or high-temperature working conditions in aerospace, they all exhibit outstanding resistance to pitting corrosion, crevice corrosion, and stress corrosion cracking. Covering a full range of mainstream grades including C-276, C-22, and B-2, they can be customized into different thicknesses and specifications. Each batch of products undergoes third-party authoritative testing, providing reliable material support for your harsh application scenarios.
Starting from the selection of high-purity raw materials such as nickel and chromium, we adopt a dual-process of Vacuum Induction Melting (VIM) and Electroslag Remelting (ESR) to achieve component homogenization and precise removal of impurities at a high temperature of 1400-1500℃. After multi-pass rolling and shaping, the internal stress is eliminated through solution treatment at 1020-1100℃ and precise quenching process. Finally, surface finishing and strict testing are conducted to ensure the stable performance of the plates. Key parameters such as temperature and time are strictly controlled throughout the entire process, and the standardized production system guarantees the consistent quality of every Hastelloy alloy plate.
In order to ensure product quality, we will arrange professional personnel to check product quality, packaging, weight, hardness, etc., according to customer requirements of product specifications, looking for high-quality and cheap cooperative factories in China, to provide customers with one-stop procurement services and quality assurance.
Excellent packaging: waterproof paper and plastic film + iron cover + at least three strapping straps + strapping straps fixed on iron or wood pallets can effectively protect products from corrosion and various climate changes during transportation. Generally speaking, we ship from Shanghai, Tianjin, Qingdao and Ningbo ports. We have worked with many experienced shipping companies for a long time to find the most suitable mode of transportation for you.
